17 Watery Syllables

So today I started the WordPress Poetry Challenge.

Poetry has always been a really challenging for me, as I tend to write with the word vomit that comes out from my brain, and it doesn’t really transfer well into poems, but I thought it would be interesting to see if I’d be able to hone my skills a little bit and find some sort of discipline to my words to be able to create something different.

Today’s prompt is W A T E R, the giver of life on our amazing planet, and I’ve to try and write a haiku.

Here goes!

Rain falls all over

She laughs as she twirls and sings

The rain is cleansing

I hope this was a good first attempt, I’m excited to see how the rest of this challenge goes!
